The Hunter
He walks bold,
Among the trees.
Wolf has no fear.
He is faster than lightning
Braver than a knight
Secretive as the Dark side of the moon.
The Human with his gun shoots.
Wolf laughs
"You cannot destroy me!"
A Human baits a fanged trap
Wolf laughs
"I am smarter than thee!"
The Human opens a cage door.
Wolf laughs
"You cannot catch the forever free!"
The Human chases wolf.
Wolf laughs
"I am always faster, forever be!"
Wolf laughs at the incompetence of man-kind.
He is frightened also.
His laughter is shaky,
His eyes are nervous.
His gaze flittering,
But Wolf is always free.
